stupid PC, stupid phone
yeah my pc nearly died last week under assault from network viruses. anyway a combination of 3 different anti-virus programs (AVG, trend-micro and norton), as well as an against-the-clock download of service pack 2, combined with some time-consuming manual virus hunt managed to bring it back from the verge of death. it works now, but still has a propensity of hanging every now and then. there're still some bad guys hiding out somewhere, but i guess they're of the relatively harmless kind...
again, XP users on networks, get SP2 before ur ass gets kicked too.
well there i was, reeling from the shock and exhaustion, and feeling the warm glow of victory after a well-fought battle, when i discovered that my phone died. no reception no matter what i tried. so i swapped sim cards with people, and to my relief, my phone was fine, but the sim card's sick somehow. i went to the nearest Rogers shop to see if i could get it fixed, but i needed to be the account holder. i'm not. said account holder isn't in the country.
so no new sim card. no working phone.
the tech gods are punishing me. why?!! WHY?!!!
maybe i need to make a virgin sacrifice. where's leonard?

irrelevance is fine. in fact it's a recurring theme of this blog. also another recurring theme is anonymous comments. who are you?
Hey kal!
good for you that you managed to salvage your PC... install XP service pack 2? was tempted to get it done, but apparently there's something in there that would conflict with NUS networks, and NUS sent out an email telling us to hold our horses, n not to install SP2... should I? haha...
anyway, was trying to recall who are the Arts guys who can play soccer... cos Arts Open is coming up.. and i realise that the only Arts guy who plays soccer with me... is YOU! get back to singapore soon!

p.s. does Leonard have a blog like you somewhere? wanna post some nonsense on his blog haha.
eh lost
if nus say got problem then i guess its fine
but sp2 stops some network viruses from disturbing ur com... these viruses dun actually reside on ur com so ur antivirus cant detect them, but they reside on another com on ur network and can still kick ur ass.
so unless u install sp2 theyre gonna continue to muck things up for you.. i guess u wait until nus sorts it out la...
go ask hafez he plays soccer. 91868704
